what keeps me busy

I've been furiously working on all the decorations for my brother(Kurt) and Jodi Miller's wedding. Every once in a while, when I take a break from that, I browse the internet in search of some cute items for our next home. I found these the other day on Urban Outfitters and thought the price was right. They waved the shipping when I used the promo code FALLFORIT. Not too shabby, especially since their flat fee is 10 bucks...I think that's a little high! I can't wait to share the wedding details with you but you will have to wait until the end of October at least! It will be wonderfully spectacular though, I am looking forward to it!

they've done it again!

My husband sent in the paperwork for approval on a second home loan...yikes! We are still trying to sell the home we are in, but we found a home for a steal fairly close to where Chris works so we are literally minutes away from making an offer. It is sort of exciting thinking about the next place and making it our home. I've enjoyed the home we have had and making it unique and fixing it up. Its sort of sad to think we put so much effort into it and will most likely not get back what we have put into it, people are just not buying homes right now! But on the other hand, I've missed being with Chris daily and well this home that we are looking at has at least 10 foot ceilings! Haha...it also needs major work in the bathrooms and kitchen...oh boy.

As I was browsing Anthropologie the other day I came across this door knocker...I love it! Maybe if we get this next house we can spring a few extra bucks towards this thing:-). Anthropologie has figured out how to make me broke!

Anthropologie's "yoruba" curtains are ridiculously cool! They take the whole pleated or smocked idea to a new level with me...love.

Here is a little taste of the french countryside courtesy of myself, Jodi Miller of Jodi Miller Photography and Janie Medley of www.jmflora.com! The rest of the pics are on my website's gallery at www.sunshowersandrainshine.com. We had a long, hot and wonderful day in Richmond putting this together! Enjoy:-).
